The Winds of Change: Welcome 1427

Assalam Alikom wa rahmat ALLAH
Peace and Blessings be upon you

Hello Everybody

Well, another private time to post a new post. 1st of all, Happy New Hijri Year for Muslims worldwide, and I wish everyone all the best in everything.

As I told before in a previous post, the New Year is not only for celebrating; rather it’s a moment to make a pause, and talk a serious look about your life; where are you now and where do you want to go later. I shall place the link as usual under Related Posts, at the end of this post incha’allah.

Muhammed (PBUH): Mercy upon MankindOn the other hand, I’m still walking on my path for tuning my life as I told in the 2 previous posts, however away from my personal life; I just want to focus on something, which is insulting our beloved prophet, Muhammed (pbuh) via the cartoons placed by this Danish Newspaper called Jyllands-Posten.

People used to talk in the name of Liberty, and behind Freedom they make such unforgiving acts! I didn’t deny that we - Muslims - have our own problems, however I really wonder, why do people only listen/watch to what terrorists say, and don’t listen/watch to the real information about Islam?!

This might be acceptable from common people, and I said might, however if a magazine make this, it’s unacceptable and unforgiving at all. It’s not a matter of apology to be taken - wither from the Danish Government or the Newspaper; it’s a matter of understood, and punishment - only via Danish Government or the newspaper - towards the editors(s) who’d placed those toons.

Such acts increase the hate, and give the chance for terrorists to work dirty. Even if Islam is against terrorism, we - Muslims - don’t accept any kind of stupid acts against our prophet Muhammed (pbuh) at all, and we can take strong actions, like boycotting for example, which already began to increase and will continue for many other products/countries because this is unforgiving!

Boycotting is neither hate nor a call for one; rather it’s our right to defend our prophet in a - legal way - from what this newspaper had made, and in the same time it is a call for the people to understand Islam, Muslims well before trying to judge without any real background.

OK, I don’t like to repeat my words. I’d write articles via I-MAG magazine in previous issues, regarding similar acts as follows:

  • “Islaam: Between Ideology and Application” [3rd issue]
  • “Muhammed: Mercy upon Mankind” [4th issue]
  • “The Others: Whom hate Who?”. [5th issue]

Non-Muslims:
Islam respects you as a Non-Muslim, and Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) told us to do so since 622 A.D. and away from the other acts which don’t represent the core of Islam, which terrorists perform. Therefore, you people should find the way to understand us, and respect us; because we already do so according to Islam, which we are proud of.

Liberty is ok, we all seek for Liberty and Freedom, however,
insulting any prophet is not a Liberal act, it’s stupidity
and insulting our beloved prophet is not only a very stupid act,
it is unacceptable, and unforgiving until we see real apology,
and boycotting will continue, until we see real progress,
to cause who’d made such cartoons via the Danish Government,
or via the Newspaper itself against anyone made this,
simply because what had happened is not Freedom.

PS: More info can be found in the comments too. [ - Hicham @ 1/2/2006 ]

Everybody - I hope you will sign the two petitions, and I hope this will be in a civilized way, don’t sign twice, and be positive, because Islam taught us to act in high manners, no matter how the others are rude!

I also hope you start boycotting, because it’s our leagal act as citiziens to do so.

Updates - I’d added the appology placed by the magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Carsten Juste via their website @ 10:22 AM as soon as I read it, for the sake of placing the lights on whole situation’s.

Muslims had told their opinion via boycotting, and the magazine placed an appology.

    No comment at all!

I read this so called apology by the newspaper and found it woofully inadequate. They apologized that their act has offended us but didn’t apologize for doing it. This is not acceptable in my opinion.

Boycott of Danish goods goes on.

Anonymous (M. Kanaanphurmr) - I do agree with you, and so many Muslims worldwide do so.

You know, I always used to respect Denmark + Danish Government for their acts for making Peace in World, however when they don’t recognise the big difference between Liberty, Freedom - which we all respect for any Newspaper/media - and the insulting of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) which make 1.5+ billion Muslims worldwide angry, I think boycotting is the minimum act, and shall continue untill they understand this fact.

My words were so clear in the original post, We’ve the right to defend our Prophet from such insulting acts untill we see real appology, and so do Muslim’s worldwide think.

Botcotting danish goods is a form of collective punishment, just like israeli checkpoints.

some poor danish worker is going to lose his job at a dairy company because someone wrote something that offended your religion in a newspaper?

Boycott the paper, and leave the innocent out of it.

todd - Thanks for passing by, and sorry for being late to reply, however I’m not online those days as I said before.

Anyway, regarding your comment, No dear, it’s totaly different to compare boycotting goodies of any country - not only the Danish - to the Israeli checkpoints, because the two cases are totaly different.

I’ll post a new post regarding this point and to complete my post.
