The Death and Destruction Show
Assalam Alikom wa rahmat ALLAH
Peace and blessings be upon you
Hello Everybody
1st of all, I want to apologies for everyone who might read this long post, because it is the first one after being back to my blog. It’s long one so forgive me. Let’s start this long post.
Intro“Vee, Voo, Vam.” Those are the daily sounds people used to hear in ME since June 2006.
The Situation
While the world was busy following the fair battles on the green pitch to know who’ll win the 2006 Word Cup, In Palestine, Israeli forces launched another unfair battle on the 28th of June 2006, which took place this time on the red pitch of civilians blood who were killed during an operation on Gazza Strip called “Operation Summer Rain”.
Two weeks later in Lebanon, on the 12th of July 2006, the Israeli forces launched a second military operation called “Operation Just Reward” which became later “Operation Change of Direction” in respond to an operation executed by Hizb allah (Hizbollah) called “Operation True Promise”.
I know that the world opinion says that the both operations from Israel are considered as “Self-Defence” against the terrorist attacks. Well, my reply for this is one word: “How funny when people convert + twist the truth”.
The international community used to talk about human rights, and how should all countries respect them, but when it came to this country which is not more than an Occupation Force since 1948, World can not raise any voice.
It’s very strange how people convert the situations and legitimate the actions of an occupation force in the name of Human rights, while when that occupation force uses their Air Force + Navy Forces to bomb Beirut’s infra structure and to kill civilians, no one can raise a voice because they are “defending themselves”.
I’ll assume they have this right even if they are occupation forces whey are they destroying the Infra Structure of Lebanon and apply a complete siege over Lebanon? Why destroying Beirut International Airport which carry the name “Rafik Hariry International Airport”, Rafik whom had been assassinated. Why bombing civilians in Palestine and Lebanon including women and children?
Call it revenge, call it dark souls, call it minds that don’t have any kind of respect to another human race except themselves. Call it whatever you want to call; as this suites most of the Israeli governments since 1948 until now.
As I always say, no one likes violence. We as Arab and Muslims understand well the difference between terrorism and resistance. No one accept terrorism because it’s forbidden by default according to the Islamic taught. However, when it came to resist an occupation force, things are different.
I want to highlight again that civilians should always be out of the war actions.
On the other hand, Islam had guarantee how to deal with “prisoners of war” and how to respect them and not to hurt them, because at last they are human beings created by one and only one, the creator, ALLAH (swt), even if they are not following Islam.
Don’t tell me look what al-Qaeda or Zarkawi had done with prisoners, because this is not from Islam and those kind of people are not representing the real Islam at all.
On the other hand, we understand well the difference between a Jew, and a Zionist. We don’t have this misconception which most of people have against Muslims when they say Muslim = Terrorist.
Light through the Dark
I dont see a single solution for the current situation. As I always write in I-MAG, the International Organization which was raised for the welfare of the world after World War II, called U.N. must play a real role in the Arab-Israeli conflict.
Israel should understand that Arab is not accepting what they are doing with killing the civilians in the name of self defending.
In the same time, we don’t want war. That’s why we presented a “Peace Initiative” @ 2002 via Saudi Arabia to reach a state of peace, but Israel doesn’t want to listen. They are talking about disarming the resistance, and want people to forget that they are occupation force for the Arab land in Palestine + Syria + Lebanon.
Thereby, I can’t blame a resistance for fighting any occupation force in any country within any Era. If the current situation of world was revealing during the World War II, I think Charles de Gaulle would have been accused of being terrorist!
The Solution
The international community represented in the UN didn’t take the right steps to stop the barbarian attacks and make a way to exchange prisoners among the two sides until now. That’s a short term solution, because I still believe in the power of UN as I’d mentioned in I-MAG before.
A long term solution is to find a way to execute a real peace in ME, including the Iraqi situation, An urgent and real action plan that serves all nations in ME should be placed or else, I think we’ll found ourselves in a situation worries than now.
Finally
To Lebanon + Palestine + Iraq + Arab: Don’t let riot found its way to reveal.
Supporting the Palestinian + Lebanese nation is a must to re-build what had been destroyed in the 3 countries.
To the Israeli Nation: If you want real peace, proof it! Proof it in Palestine, Lebanon and Syria. It doesn’t matter to be a Harvard or Oxford graduate if you didn’t know how to respect the others.
The darkest moments are those just before the dawn comes

Dear all - For those who might read this post for the 2nd time, I’d fixed some spelling mistakes I found in the original post.

Very well said, I can’t understand why others can’t see what is really going on. My heart is hurting everytime I here what Israel is doing and the deaths of innocent civilians and children.
I am glad your back and thank you for stopping by my blog.

Got here from the Blogflux dir. Interesting post and I agree with you. Will this eye for an eye thing go on and on forever, I wonder.

FIRST … it’s SO GREAT you’re back! I really missed you …
SECONDLY … what’s going on in Lebanon, Palestine and Iraq is beyond description and murder and destruction PURE!! It is constantly said it is a fight against Hizbollah … are they in water-taanks? Power-plants? Several story-tall apartment-houses FULL WITH CIVILIANS???
To destroy the ENTIRE infrastructure of the country? Who gives them the right to play God?? I have my own problems with Hizbullah but find the exchange soldiers against ALL women and children - in this current situation - justified! Just imagine CHILDREN … what for? Throwing stones against tanks? They should have NEVER been taken into custody and are they are traumatized for the rest of their lives … with hatred for their tormentors in every single cell of their body!
May Allah bless and protect all the suffering and displaced people in Lebanon, Palestine and Iraq!

adam - It’s my good luck to have you in my blog. Welcome and thanks for stopping by my blog.
I think this “eye for an eye” thing will stop when all the responsibles start a real action. That is the role of U.N., or else it is useless.
Chet + Karin - Dear friends, I totally agree with your points and I always wonder how people can not understand that every human being has the right to live in peace on plant Earth, no matter the colour, the race, and the religion.

By the way - That’s why I’m aganist the attacks of Israeil as I wrote in details in my original post.
They are killing innocent people for no particular reason, except to proof that can defend themselves against the legal forces of resistance in Palestine + Lebanon
Hey Israeli Nation - Your forces are the occupation forces, not the vice versa!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving your comment. I fully agree with you, and with I love Munich… She said it perfectly!
As you have seen by the postings on my blog, I am totally aghast at Israel’s wanton, unwarranted destruction of Lebanon, Gaza, and the Palestinian people, whom they so cruelly displaced during the Nakba to make room for the creation of the State of Israel in 1948. Palestinians had to leave their homes and farms, in a mass exodus (Nakba) from their homeland, taking with them only a very few possessions, on a very short notice. What was done to them was a grave injustice and violation of human rights. What is being done to them now is criminal, as is Israel’s present war on Lebanon, Gaza, and ongoing oppression & murder of Palestinians.
You may have seen the pictures from Lebanon that I put up on my site last night. I can not describe what I felt when I viewed them… I was outraged, heartsick and helpless… Then I wrote a short letter to the Prime Minister of Canada (Stephen Harper) and forwarded him the pictures, so he can see for himself what Israel’s “measured response” was: the death of children, destruction of apartments and homes, total devastation… I wonder if he will have the stomach to look at them, for they won’t appear in our mainstream newspapers or tv. (Harper said in an interview that Israel’s response to Hizbollah was “measued” - that’s why I used his words about the reality of the carnage.
You have a very good blog. Thanks for sending me the link! I’ve bookmarked it, and will be putting in a link to it from mine. (I noticed you have a link to mine - thanks!)
BTW, Kofi Annan (UN) did condemn the violence and called for the International Community to step in, but the UN can’t do much without the co-operation of the U.S. who vetoes every peace initiative. The Bush government has effectively neutered the UN. Sad but true!
I don’t know how this terrible situation will end, but I agree with you that peace will never be achieved until the roots of the problems are addressed: Israel’s illegal occupation of Arab lands (with U.S. support), and U.S. complicity and imperialism in the ME: illegal war on Iraq, Afghanistan and supporting repressive but pro-American/puppet regimes (with the help of some of the world community who are in U.S. pockets).
Sorry for ranting so long… I am too upset to make much sense.
I wish you well and peace.

verbena-19 - I totally agree with what you’ve mentioned.
As I said in a previous post I don’t believe that Utopia will be found on this planet because it’s all about the good and evil equation. However, I think people should care about humanity more than what we saw today.
The U.N. had been established for the welfare of Humanity after the stupid actions od WW2 (Word War II) but un fortunatley, when the governments don’t care about people, unjustice will reveails.
Human Rights should be placed in actions among all countries, not only to be printed over some papers and became a document (ref 123/xyz) in the U.N. archive.
As I mentioned in the post + I-MAG, I still believe that U.N. is a good place to be a real meeting point for contries to co-operate, not for countries to fight!
Sometimes, I see the current situation in this world very close to some kids who are fighting each other for no particular reason!
The Photos: I know saw the photos you’ve placed and I want to say that this happens before: Sabra and Shatila (1982) + Qana (1996)
In 1970, the Israeli Air-forces had bombed a school of childerns in Egypt while occuping Sanai. It was called “Bahr el-Baqar Primary school”.
That’s why I said in the original post that the real terrorism came from the successive governmets that rule the state of Israel, so if the israeli peole want peace, they should proof it.
Sorry, but my comment takes longer than I thought.
I hope to see real progress

Well said, Somemuslimman, and I agree with you. Indeed, the Israeli people must get serious about wanting peace, and reflect this by electing governments that are not corrupt, greedy, war-mongering, but governments that want to work toward peaceful resolutions in the Middle East — mainly: withdraw from occupied Arab lands, and work out a viable treaty with the Palestinians whereby they can have their own, autonomous state/country, with support of the International Community.
Israelis must speak up about peace (if indeed that is what they truly want), and not keep electing war criminals(Netanyahu, Sharon, et al… (I can’t remember all the names right now, sorry…but the way I understand it, most of them were criminals who had committed terrible atrocities… Please correct me if I am mistaken…)

Annamarie - No, you are not wrong at all! You + Chet + I love Munich (Karin) have said the truth which politicians are trying to twist.

Peace and Blessings be upon you!
