Scary Movie XXI
Assalam Alaikum wa rahmat Allah.
Peace be upon you dear visitor.
After the invention of the nuclear weapon, Albert Einstein said: “The unleashed power of the atom has changed everything, except our mode of thinking.” It is clear for me how the World War II was an ideal example of human stupidity as the war causalities were scary enough to rise an alarm for the status of mankind on planet Earth.

Scary Movie of the 21st Century
For that matter in the middle of the 20th century at 1945, United Nations (UN) had been established to ensure global peace and cooperation between humans; however despite there were no nuclear wars during the past 60 years (1945 – 2005) nothing from this noble goal mankind could achieve as wars are still waging everywhere in different forms and levels.
The 21st century started by the Millennium Goals that aimed for more cooperation but we waked up on the bitter truth since the terrorist attacks of 9/11: “Honey, I’m home” said ugly terrorism. Since then, we are facing Bush administration’s War on Terror under leadership of USA and full support UK while the UN took the red card, i.e. OUT.
The administrations in both countries gave themselves the right to act on the behalf of all nations for fighting against terrorism. Although I understand the need to defend their people; however the equation became Islam equals terrorism, hence we see how the scary movie of both Islamophobia (making Muslims the enemy) plus ugly terrorism in the 21st century is running!
Nowadays misconceptions about Islam are circulating because media usually keep on adhering terrorism with Muslims and do not bother highlighting on the other side of the story and hence you found the notable attitude of stereotyping Islam and Muslims nowadays in parallel with ignoring a basic fact which tells about how Islam had forbid killing innocents.
May be you ask why Islam forbade this? The answer lies behind understanding a fundamental basic fact that tell us how Islam encourages urbanizing Earth, hence terrorism contradicts with all values mankind believes in and share. For that matter, I am calling you to search for what The Almighty Allah (swt) – GOD – had already mentioned in the Holy Quran which clearly mention the other side of the story. You shall discover yourself that Muslim scholars had agreed thousands of years ago about what Islam is calling for yet you hear nothing (or rarely) about this bright and true side in the media.
Additionally in parallel with the facts about Islam that are mentioned up and usually ignored, I have my own perspective: Islam is about building not destroying and it is based on the facts that Islam calls for.
In the light of this elaboration, we can understand that both Islam and Muslims are anti-terrorism according to the Islamic faith and beliefs. This is why mankind must stand up against terrorism in all forms whether it is al-Qaeda terrorism or other extremists who share these extreme views and this applies for both Muslims and Non-Muslims; however, what seems unclear for me in this scary movie of 21st are the following two points:
- Anti Terrorism: Nations should cooperate for achieving this goal within the framework of United Nation (UN) not outside because War on Terror is not a one man show which I wonder where it shall lead us after few years!
- Islamophobia: Standing up against terrorism does not mean by any way stereotyping Islam, Arab and Muslims as we see nowadays. Nothing justifies these misconceptions exactly in the same way that nothing justifies what extremists with their black and closed mentalities do.
You know what? If this was a scary movie, I would have left the cinema because I would definitely get bored yet there is no exit door till now, unfortunately! Hence, as I quoted Albert Einstein at the beginning of this blog entry, I would like to end it with another quotation by Sir Winston Churchill which states “To build may have to be the slow and laborious task of years. To destroy can be the thoughtless act of a single day.”

Clay equals Man
Assalam Alaikum wa rahmat Allah.
Peace be upon you dear visitor.
Few minutes ago while updating my blogger profile, I came across a random question that asked me the following: “If mud is dirt plus water, what is clay?” I answered: “Clay equals Man.” It seems – or maybe – I placed this answer automatically because – as Muslims – we believe that human nature is originally a clay creature but when I think twice about this question, I figured out that the answer is in the question itself, but how?
Follow on with my elaborations below; maybe we reach somewhere at the end!

Clay equals Man
Mud equals dirt plus water is a basic physical fact that is applicable for human beings on both levels matter plus soul in my perspective. An in-depth look at the human nature might reveals this mixture of dirt plus water or in other words of evil plus good:
- When man acts in good way, his good part is taking role;
- When man acts in bad way, his evil part is taking role.
This is the reason behind my personal belief that we are just humans who are neither angels nor devils; hence we need to focus on enriching our good side in order to elevate and make it active as much as we can in parallel with the vice versa of depriving our evil part and make it inactive as much as we can.
Now a question rises: but how can we do so? I believe that the keystone for achieving this stage lies behind our human intellect. We are not only sculpting clay but merely humans who have minds plus the soul form The Almighty Allah (swt) – GOD – after the creationism process, hence we are called to use our minds rationally in parallel with the spiritual support.
Nevertheless, since clay equals man therefore sometimes we can go evil. Hence, we are called (or must) to seek for forgiveness from The Creator Almighty Allah (swt) who formed us and thus know that we are humans who equal clay; however again we have the choice to act either good or evil from out human intellect according to both the Islamic faith and beliefs. Hereby in the light of my elaborations, read and think about this verse from the Holy Quran:
{Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. “Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.”} — [Holy Quran (Koran) Translation - 2:286]
In a nutshell, although clay equals man, our life is not only about the two extremes of angels versus devils; rather it is our human intellect that paves the way for how we use our minds in a rational way to elevate ourselves when we wonder, ponder and finally implement and the vice versa happen when we ignore our human intellect that leads to degrade ourselves; hence, it is our choice in parallel with obeying the will of The Creator Almighty Allah.

Hello and Welcome
Assalam Alaikum wa rahmat Allah.
Peace be upon you dear visitor.
Yeah this is me whoever am I; so hello and welcome to my first post on the blogosphere.
I joined the blogging world because I see it is important to find a place for sharing my thoughts and feelings with other people. You may wonder about what else I can add through this blog! Well, we are humans who love to talk, so what about talking in a way that we gain benefit from it on the intellectual level by acquiring knowledge about each other.

Hello and Welcome: Islam encourages urbanizing Earth
In simple words, when someone writes down reflections, this creates an open window on his (and her) mind for the others to look into; hence members of Mankind can go through establishing a sort of connection in-between for reaching the state of better understanding, which – I believe – we need to put into action in the 21st century better than the past 20th century.
Consequently, I believe humans are created then found on this planet in order to communicate as this helps in the cooperation among people in Mankind for urbanizing Earth according to both Islamic faith and beliefs that were shaped in the light of what The Almighty Allah (swt) had mentioned in the Holy Quran which was revealed to The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) since 1426 years ago.
Hereby, read and think about the following verse:
{O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted} – [Holy Quran(Koran) Translation - 49:13]
In a nutshell, Islam encourages urbanizing Earth as its mission statement for Mankind and this canonic Islam fact was the foundation upon which the Islamic civilization (8th – 15th century) established its structure for the development of humanity. Nevertheless, these facts about what Islam is became fogged nowadays in the chaos of Islamophobia which is fueled by both misconceptions plus stereotypes that are circulating around our planet by the two opposite mentalities of haters and extremists either being Non-Muslims or Muslims.
Moreover, I have modeled my own perspective: Islam is about building not destroying which is based on the previously mentioned facts that Islam calls for plus other facts that are out of this post’s scope.
Anyway, since I do not want to blab a lot from the first post, therefore till writing future blog entries (inshallah), I wish you all the best and May Allah reward all of you, Amen!
