Handful of Hate
Assalam Alikom wa rahmat ALLAH
Peace and Blessings be upon you
Hello Everybody
Day after day, the situation in Iraq became worse and worse. The BBC had reported today that about 100 people have been killed in the aftermath of bombing the Shia Shrine yesterday. This is insane.
Only evil souls think about this kind of bombing to make riot between the two major sectarians of Iraq. I’m sure that any moderate Sunni will never think to bomb such a place for the Shias. Therefore, It’s very important that the Iraqi people unite their power to overcome this crisis, and don’t let the situation to reach a civil war.
It’s the responsibility now for the leaders and Muslim scholars - both Shiites and Sunnis - to make their effort to stop riot, because none of the Iraqi people will gain from such situation; rather they will be losers if this fury didn’t stop. That’s about the people.
As for the shrine, Look at the picture - to the left - and see how the shrine became after bombing! This shrine returns back to the 9-10th century and was rebuild 3 times later in the 11th, 12th and the 19th centuries respectively. The golden Dome was one of it’s characteristic, which gave it more beauty. It’s listed under Iraqi World Heritage list.
I hope that this beautiful shrine will be restored as soon as possible. I also hope that the AKDN raise a fund for this restoration in the near future if they can. This is a wish from a simple Muslim Sunni Man to his his highness, the Aga Khan, to raise such fund if he can in the near future to restore this building.
On the other hand, those evil souls had killed Atwar Bahjat, the 26 years old Iraqi reporter and two of her crew.
Atwar - the Sunni Muslim woman - was a famous reporter in al-Jazeera channel, and I consider here one of the few women who’d something to present to world via her work, even if I don’t know her personally.
She went to Samarra with her crew to cover the situation after bombing the shrine, where some gunmen kidnapped her + 2 other colleagues from her crew: Adnan Khairallah, the cameraman and Khaled Mohsen, the soundman.
Ahmed al-Saleh, another reporter for al-Arabiya, had seen this kidnapping. According to him, the gunmen started firing their machine-guns to make people panic then one of them started shouting “We want the anchorwoman” - mean Atwar. She was in the news van and shouted to the crowd to help her, however no one could help. The gunmen took her and the other 2 colleagues to unknown place, where they were assassinated.
Atwar had worked for local Iraqi channel, then moved to al-Jazeera TV where she worked there and were reporting since the invasion of Iraq. Later, sine 3 weeks ago, she had left to al-Arabiya TV. Beside being a reporter, she was a poet also. Finally, she was preparing for her wedding in the next few months. [*no comment*]
My GOD! What evil souls we have in this world?! I’m pretty sure of that this assassination was some kind of revenge towards this young reporter because of her active work as a reporter in al-Jazeerah then in al-Arabiya. Whomever the group who’d done this, it’s clear for me that this is a revenge.

I saw al-Arabiya channel on the TV yesterday in the night. What they wrote about Atwar’s life was 1976-2006, which means she was 30 not 26, however most websites said she’s 26. Anyway 26 or 30, she’s killed by evil people. She was the 7th woman journalist to be killed since the invasion of Iraq, and the toll of journalists whom had been killed in Iraq reaches 82, according to Reporters without Borders.
I know she is martyr - incha’allah, however this doesn’t conflict with the fact that felt very sad for her. May be she’s not my direct sister, however she’s my sister as Human Being, as Muslim, as Arab. Same as for her two colleagues. May ALLAH (swt) bless their souls, and help their families to overcome those hard times. Amen!
Anyway, as I always believe:
Terrorists are people with black heart and black soul
whatever they religion is, and whatever their race isMay ALLAH (swt) bless her soul, her colleagues’ souls
May ALLAH (swt) bless souls of all those innocents
whom are killed for no particular reason except insanityPoor Humanity!

Sara - In fact, no one knows if his/her work is accepted from ALLAH (swt) or not. It all depends on our intention, and this is something between the person and ALLAH (swt).
Example: A man may do something which seems to people excellent, however it’s not accepted from ALLAH (swt). Why? because his intention was not pure. He didn’t mean to do this for god sake; rather for people to say Look for what “someone” had done and therefor it is not from his good deeds.
That’s why I believe that we must stop judging each other - from the faith point of view - and target our efforts to perform our role, each according to the job he can do. This applies to judging Muslims and Non.
I hope that ALLAH (swt) will accept from all of us.
Finally, May ALLAH (swt) bless Atwar’s soul, and souls of her 2 colleages, and accept their work, Amen.

Salams,
I finally got the chance to post on here.
After reading the post, I seriously ended up crying. I knew about what happened but just assumed that Awtar died in crossfire. Knowing that she was kidnapped and then killed, that just hurts too much. I mean why? What is the point? What did they achieve?
I send my condolences to Awtar’s family and Insha’Allah they’ll be with her in Fardous.

Stellar - Thanks for stopping by.
Regarding what you said, look, the answer is very simple. As I said in the original post, what had happend to Atwar was a direct revenge from her before any other thing.
They had killed Atwar: the human being, the Muslim, Arab & Iraqi women, the poet, and finally the active reoprter in al-Jazeera before she moved to al-Arabiya. That’s what I see from this work. It’s all about Atwar.
Atwar by the way was 30 not 26 as I told in the post, even if I’d mentioned this before.
BTW: for my bad luck, or whatever it may told, I saw the pictures of her after being killed. I can’t tell you all how upset I felt because it’s something horrible. I saw them few days ago, and after posting this post.
In fact, I post those words about Atwar and here 2 colleags - even if I don’t know them personaly - to be as few simple words to everyone to know what terrorists really do, and to know that those people with black souls and hearts don’t want anything in this life except killing people for their own sake + the sake of others who hide behinde them.
May ALLAH (swt) bless Atwar’s soul, souls of her 2 colleags, and souls of all innocent people who are killed for no particular reason worldwide.
