ER: Heal the World
I do believe that development in any society cannot occur unless people are safe. Hereby there are many ways to reach this state of safeness and healthcare is one of these ways. Nevertheless, I felt sad after reading the WHO’s report for the World Heath Day 2009, because of the fact mentioned that death toll of 2008 was almost four times higher than the average annual toll for the seven previous years [source].
Such a piece of info should switch on a red-alert for governments, NGOs and individuals regarding the situation of healthcare in our world generally and developing countries specially. Hereby, two important factors play the role in any healthcare process:
- the safety of health facilities in terms of infrastructure, and;
- the safety of health staff in terms of human resources.
In terms of Infrastructure, it’s important that facilities to be designed according to a structural code that ensure the safety of the buildings; the architectural solutions to ensure the smooth mobility of people either working there or being patients; and implementing the suitable devices that ensure the. Hereby, investing money in such projects is not a luxery; it's a must because it is actualy investimg in human.
In terms of human resources, it’s important to train them well to be ready for dealing with people; taking care for the emergency teams (er); avoid placing obstacles to stop their work especially in the war-time or crises; and the most important thing is to save their lives during such bad. Hereby, I can’t understand preventing those people from working or even kill them, as happened for example during the Gaza Crises in 2008-2009 which is something beyond political problems; people need to be saved so just save them not to kill them!
You know what? That I’ve mentioned in post can be summarised into one few words: love is the core of this process because when people love each other they will care and vice versa. Hereby, I recall what Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) urged prohibitted killing innocent civilians;
A true Muslim is the one who does not defame or abuse others; but the truly righteous becomes a refuge for humankind, their lives and their properties.

I hope that in due time the state of the world will improve. You raised a very important point in your post. Love is a great motivator for improving our conditions as human beings.
This is my first visit to your blog. It certainly will not be my last.

Love and tolerance is the key to a global peace. We can co-exist. I don’t know how to share light with the angry people.

That quote reminds me of one by Gandhi “I came to the conclusion long ago … that all religions were true and also that all had some error in them, and whilst I hold by my own, I should hold others as dear as Hinduism. So we can only pray, if we are Hindus, not that a Christian should become a Hindu … But our innermost prayer should be a Hindu should be a better Hindu, a Muslim a better Muslim, a Christian a better Christian.”

At our most fundamental, we are all more alike than different. If only more of us would honor that, peace would prevail.

“…death toll of 2008 was almost four times higher than the average annual toll for the seven previous years.”
I didn’t know that. That is very sad, and scary at the same time. I wonder if some part of that is because of increasing natural disasters, and rates of depression/suicide due to the economy being so tough, with people losing their homes, jobs, and ways of life.

Assalam
it is a really sad side to the advancements of the present age that in spite of the better medicines, better govts (supposedly) than older times, we r also seeing a rise in the death toll.
whatever be the reason, i wud blame the deteriorating psyche of the people… if only we cud get ppl to love one another and rise abuv their differences, the world wud be a so much better place to live in.

It would be wonderful if we could heal the world. I do believe that in order for all mankind to evolve (and we must evolve) spiritually, there is a great healing which needs to take place. There is a malignant germ in our culture that must be demolish and that germ is fear and complacency. Enjoy your site. Thank you so much.
