Loading ...We always do math on daily routine, so it’s normal when we add 16 to 51 to get a sum of 67, but wait a minute, what about identifying such number, 67 Roses, Guns or what?
Well, it is 67 Million people! Yes; this number is the UNHCR’s estimated one of Refugees + Internally Displaced People (IDPs) in our world as of 2007 [source]
Oh my God, I’m horrified and my horrification is not merely because of quaintly, which is terribly scary, but mainly what lies beneath such number; humans just like me and you who may differ in the colour but share the same suffer!
Hereby it is not a number anymore; rather it’s a giant mirror that reflects our state of mind on Earth.
Oh mon dieu! After less than two years we shall entre the 2nd decade of our 3rd Millennium yet I still wonder about the mentalities behind committing atrocities against other people just because they are not sharing the same point of view, regardless the race or religion!
